To support our continued growth we are looking for an Area Sales Manager covering North & Central Texas, Northern Louisiana & Oklahoma. You will have responsibility for generating sales for the capital and consumable medical device areas in Acute Care Hospitals. To the qualified candidate we offer:
  • Base Salary - $50,000 to $60,000
  • Bonus/Commission based on performance

Job Responsibilities:
  • Grow established base of business and utilize cold-calling and lead generation activities to increase sales.
  • Conduct product presentations, demonstrations and articulate the value proposition of our offerings to stakeholders from clinicians to administration.
  • Interact with Medical Professionals and hospital personnel and be able to cover surgical cases and be comfortable around the sight of patient blood and organs.
  • Provide ongoing support to clinicians and facilities to include but not limited to; product training, market information/training, direct marketing, technical sales support for local and regional trade shows and account specific sales strategies for Boehringer products.
  • Meet or exceed the Area’s annual Sales revenue quota, profit and growth objectives.
  • Support new product launches within the Region.
  • Be able to interpret and understand medical terminology, anatomy, surgical procedures and surgical environment.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of the annual Sales and Marketing business plan.
  • Work with and help develop plans to sell through IHN groups within the area.
  • Interface and communicate with engineering on new or existing product designs and improvements as needed.
  • Extensive local travel.
Qualifications and Skills:
  • 2+ years of demonstrated success in Business to Business sales (copier, mobile phone, business advertising space or payroll processing). Medical Sales experience is a plus.
  • Self-motived with a high sense of urgency, must be aggressive and driven to make your sales quota mentality.
  • Door-to-door or cold-calling experience.
  • Ability to build positive working relationships, both internally and externally.
  • Excellent communication skills. Must be comfortable communicating with hospital staff and physicians via phone, office visits, or in writing.
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills, presentation skills, analytical skills, and critical thinking skills.
  • Comfortable with the use of CRM to manage prospects and pipeline.
  • Bachelor degree required.
