Suburban Laboratories, Inc. seeks an experienced and highly driven Customer Service Representative to join our dynamic team of experts. We perform analytical compliance testing of water, soil, and products for municipal, commercial and residential customers to promote our cause of Protecting Human Health and the Environment. The Customer Service Representative will be responsible for managing client projects and handling all customer feedback and complaints, and processes all requests, inclusive of quotes, reports, and invoices.  This significant role will be at the helm of our customer facing operations, and it is critical to the positive experience and retention of our customers. The right Customer Service Representative has a minimum of 3 years in customer service, a minimum of 2 years in project management and a Bachelor’s degree. Though a technical or scientific background is preferred and helpful for the position, it is not a requirement as we will train on the nuances of our business.

Duties and Responsibilities for Customer Service Representative Include:
  • Implement and execute initiatives for high-level customer service
  • Communicate with customers by phone, email and in person
  • Creates projects in Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) and ensures reports meet customer specific requirements for reporting limits, report type, and electronic deliverable format.
  • Ensure accurate and on-time product delivery to customers  
  • Manage forms for contracts
  • Notify existing customers of additional services the company provides
  • Respond to questions and complaints concerning billing or service rendered
  • Monitors compliance reports and initiates re-testing or re-sampling when necessary
  • Travel locally to performs customer site visits, including meetings, sample pick-up and delivery of reports and bottles as needed  
  • Receive orders for service or change in service; i.e.  being available for contact outside normal business hours in emergency situations
  • A comprehensive list of duties is provided during interview
